Welcome to our FAQ Page.  We’ve collected some questions here – we will update this page with additional questions as they come up:

Can I ride a horse on the beach?

It is illegal to ride a horse on Oahu’s beaches.  There are no private beaches on Oahu, so there are no options for a private estate riding either.  The closest you can do to ride a horse on anOahu beach will be the Hawaii Polo Oceanfront.  Turtle Bay is another option close to the beach.  Some additional info is here:

No horse riding or manure allowed on public beaches

How old does my child have to be to ride a horse?

There are some places that will take a rider as young as a 3-years-old.  Kualoa Ranch offers a very short ride, so if you want your child to have longer ride with you, then we recommend other places.

Are there any weight restrictions?

If you are under 220lbs (100kg), most options are available for you.  If you are under 240lbs (108kg) there are still a lot of options, but if you weigh over 240lbs, then you will have to call and check if there is a bigger and stronger horse available to accommodate you.
